New entry level models by Kennett
Kennett Timepieces has introduced a lower priced entry-level model in order to widen its customer demographic. Previously the starting price for a Kennett watch was £250 but now shoppers can buy into the brand for just £150. The new lower-priced entry-level watches have been introduced in the Kensington collection, with models available for both men and women at this new price.
While the watches are priced competitively, the quality has not been compromised and each is sold with a two- year guarantee. The Kensington has a clean, minimalist silver- or rose gold-tone dial decorated with a beau- tiful starburst pattern, raised appliqué hour markers complemented with luminous dots to increase legibility in low lights and classic diamond-style hands. The 316 stainless steel case and plain round bezel has been plated with 30 microns of silver and the watches are fitted with either luxurious calf leather straps in a range of colours or a new Milanese mesh metal strap.
The Kensington models are powered with self-winding Miyota Japanese Super GL20 quartz movements that oscillate at 32,768 Hz. They are protected with a stainless steel push-fit caseback and premium mineral glass, and are water resistant to 3ATM. Kennett founder Tom Kennett said: “The Kensington offers a lot of watch for your money. While it might be our entry-level model, the level of specification is still extremely high with serious attention to detail and quality materials. “Moving into this new price bracket has opened up a whole new sector of the market for us and is allowing a younger demographic to buy into the brand who might previously have aspired to owning a Kennett but were excluded by the £250 starting price. Initial sales of this range through our retail partners have been very strong.”
